The sync code is an AES-encrypted bundle of your data, protected by a PIN only you know. Share it via WhatsApp, Notes, or any messaging app.

Open the Menu
Tap the ☰ hamburger icon in the top-left corner of the Home screen to open the main menu.

Tap "Sync to New Device"
Find the 📲 Sync option in the menu list and tap it. The Sync modal will open.

The modal opens on Export by default. You will see a description of what data will be included in the sync code.

Set a PIN
Enter a PIN of minimum 4 digits. This PIN encrypts your sync code — you will need the same PIN on the new phone to decode it. Choose something you will remember.

Tap "Generate Sync Code"
The app creates an encrypted code containing all your personal data. It appears in a text box below the button.

Tap the 📥 Import button at the top of the modal to switch from Export to Import mode.

Paste the sync code
Open WhatsApp (or wherever you shared the code), long-press to copy the sync code, then paste it into the "Paste Sync Code" box.

Enter the same PIN
Type the exact PIN you set on the old phone when you generated the sync code. Without the correct PIN the code cannot be decrypted.

The app decrypts the sync code and restores all your data. You will see a success message. All your records are now on the new phone.

Important tips

Copy the full code carefully. The sync code is very long. Use the 📋 Copy button — do not manually select and copy, you might miss characters.

Remember your PIN. There is no way to recover data from a sync code without the correct PIN. Write it down or use a PIN you already know well.

Best way to transfer the code: Share it to yourself on WhatsApp (use "Saved Messages" / your own number), then open WhatsApp on the new phone and copy it from there.

You can sync multiple times. Each time you generate a new sync code it captures your data at that moment. Generate a fresh code whenever you want to update the new phone.

Import overwrites existing data on the new phone. If the new phone already has some records, importing will replace them with the data from the sync code.

Admin settings are never transferred. Firebase URL, domain lock, and admin password are excluded from sync for security. These must be set up separately by the admin.

Frequently asked questions
No. The sync code is just a text string. Internet is only needed to send the code from one phone to another (e.g. via WhatsApp). The generation and import are fully offline.
Unfortunately no. The sync code is AES-encrypted with your PIN. Without the correct PIN there is no way to decrypt and restore the data. Always note your PIN when exporting.
Yes. The same sync code can be imported on multiple devices as long as you have the correct PIN. Each import restores the data captured at the time the code was generated.
Yes — the code is AES-encrypted and unreadable without the PIN. Even if someone intercepts the code, they cannot access your data without knowing your PIN. Never share the PIN in the same message.
No. Admin settings, Firebase URL, domain lock, and the app password are deliberately excluded from sync for security. Only your personal data records are included.
Check that you copied the entire sync code — it is very long and even one missing character will cause failure. Also make sure you are entering the exact same PIN used when exporting.
Backup (in the Backup screen) exports your data as a JSON or CSV file saved to your phone's storage. Sync creates an encrypted shareable text code designed specifically for transferring data to a new device quickly without a file.
