How to use — Step by step

Open My Shop
Tap the My Shop card on the Home screen, or use the menu to navigate there.

Tap "+ Add"
Hit the blue "+ Add" button in the top right to log a new transaction.

Choose type
Select Income (sale), Expense (purchase/bill), or Labour payment. Enter amount and a short note.

Add workers (Labour tab)
Switch to Labour tab → Add Worker. Enter name, role, and wage rate. The app tracks advances and balances automatically.

Review at any time
Use History tab for past days, or All tab to see every entry. Export via Backup screen as CSV or download section.

Tips & tricks

Log at end of day: Make it a habit to add your income and purchases every evening. The Today summary on Home shows ₹0 until you do.

Pay wages on the app: When you pay a worker, tap "Mark Paid" in the Labour tab so the balance updates immediately.

Export monthly: Go to Backup screen → Download My Shop CSV at the end of each month for a clean record.

Don't clear app data from phone settings — that wipes all your shop records. Use the Backup screen to save a copy before clearing anything.

Frequently asked questions

No. Everything is stored only on your device using local storage. No internet connection is needed and no data is uploaded anywhere.
Currently My Shop is designed for one shop. You can use descriptive notes to differentiate income sources (e.g. "Shop A — Morning sale"). Multi-shop support may come in a future version.
Profit = Total Income − Total Expenses (purchases + bills) for the selected period. Labour wages due are shown separately and don't affect the profit figure unless you record them as a payment expense.
Reinstalling clears all data. Always export a backup from the Backup screen before reinstalling or switching phones. You can re-import the JSON backup file to restore everything.
Yes. In the Labour tab, each worker has an advance tracking option. Any advance given is automatically deducted from the final balance due at pay time.
